Girish Karnad and his controversy

Girish Karnad: an independent thinker and writer Girish Karnad was an Indian actor, film director, Kannada writer and playwright who predominantly worked in South Indian cinema and Bollywood. He was known for his plays Tughlaq, Hayavadana and Yayati. As a result of his greatest contribution in literature he was fascinated Padma Bhusan, and Sahitya Akadami award as well as he was also a recipient of the 1998Janpith Award, the highest literary honour conferred in India. Girish Karnad – a well known literary figure always remains in controversies. Mainly he was remained in controversies because of his actively supporting activity to leftist people in separatist movement.  Besides being an independent thinker he was well known figure in political world who strongly depicted the diversity of Indian culture.
